New Delhi: Today, on June 24 – The Delhi High Court has allowed Bollywood actor Rajpal Naurang Yadav to travel to Melbourne, Australia, from June 27 to July 5, 2025.

The permission was granted so he can attend promotional events for his upcoming film “Mera Kale Rang Da Yaar.”

The order was passed by Vacation Judge Justice Rajneesh Kumar Gupta after considering Yadav’s application filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS).

The Court accepted the application after reviewing the invitation letter and flight tickets submitted by Yadav’s lawyer.

The invitation was sent by the production company, Black and White Motion Picture Pvt. Ltd., inviting Yadav to participate in several promotional activities in Australia related to his new film.

The Court carefully considered that Rajpal Yadav had earlier been allowed to travel abroad and had followed all the conditions imposed upon him at that time.

Recognizing his good conduct, the Court allowed this fresh request with certain strict conditions to ensure that Yadav complies with all legal responsibilities while abroad.

While granting permission, the Court said,

“the actor may travel subject to certain conditions.”

One of these conditions is that Yadav must deposit a Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) worth Rs. 1 lakh with the Court Registry as a form of security.

He is also required to share his active mobile number and email ID with the Investigating Officer in the case.

These contact details must remain functional during his entire trip.

Further, the Court directed that Yadav’s passport, which is currently with the Trial Court, should be temporarily released for the travel period.

He must submit it back to the Trial Court as soon as he returns to India. To provide extra assurance, the Court also ordered that

“the passport of Yadav’s brother, Chander Pal Singh, will be deposited before the Trial Court as further assurance.”

This permission comes amid an ongoing legal case involving Rajpal Yadav. In June 2024, the Delhi High Court had suspended his sentence in the matter.

During that hearing, the Court had noted,

“the Yadavs were not hardened criminals”

and had encouraged both parties to resolve the issue amicably through mutual settlement. At present, the matter is being handled by the Delhi High Court Mediation Centre.

The next hearing in the case has been scheduled before the Roster Bench on July 8, 2025.
