Delhi High Court Allows Actor Rajpal Yadav To Travel Abroad For Attending Promotional Events Of Film ‘Mera Kale Rang Da Yaar’

The Delhi High Court on Monday (June 24) allowed Bollywood actor Rajpal Naurang Yadav to travel abroad to Melbourne, Australia between June 27 to July 5 for attending promotional events of the film “Mera Kale Rang Da Yaar”.
Vacation judge Justice Rajneesh Kumar Gupta permitted Yadav to travel abroad from June 27 to July 05, subject to him furnishing an FDR of Rs. 1 lakh which shall be deposited with the Court’s Registry.
“The Applicant/Petitioner no. 1 shall furnish his mobile number and e-mail ID, at the time of furnishing FDR, which shall be kept operational at all times during the period of visit in Melbourne, Australia,” the Court said.
It directed that Yadav’s Passport lying deposited with the Trial Court be released on the condition that the same shall be deposited back once he is back in India.
The matter will now be heard by the roster bench on July 08.
The application to travel abroad was filed by Yadav in his plea moved last year challenging his conviction in a case registered under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. His wife is the second petitioner in the matter.
In June last year, a coordinate bench had suspended the sentence awarded by the trial court considering that the Yadavs were not hardened criminals.
The Court had also asked the Yadavs to explore the possibility of reaching an amicable settlement with the complainant company. The case is pending before Delhi High Court Mediation Centre.
Previously, the Court had allowed the Bollywood actor and his wife to travel abroad.
