The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the SSP of Gautam Buddha Nagar in a habeas corpus plea, directing urgent steps to locate a missing 14-year-old girl. The court firmly stated, “Find the missing 14-year-old girl immediately.”
The Delhi High Court, while considering a habeas corpus petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, has ordered immediate actions to locate a 14-year-old girl (Ms. B), who has been missing since June 12, 2025.
The petition was filed by her parent seeking urgent intervention from the relevant authorities.
The bench, led by Justice Manmeet Pritam Arora, issued notices to all respondent authorities on Monday, directing them to appear and present a copy of the Status Report in court.
This report is to be formally submitted within two days.
According to the information presented to the Court, three individuals have been detained in connection with the case.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Ms. B may have left her home voluntarily, but further inquiries are underway based on details provided by the petitioner.
The Court was informed that police in Gautam Buddha Nagar are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, now led by the Investigating Officer (IO).
It was also noted that two other girls who went missing alongside Ms. B on the same day have since been found in Gautam Buddha Nagar/Noida.
In light of these developments, the Court deemed it necessary to notify the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Gautam Buddha Nagar, instructing them to submit a Status Report before the next hearing.

Additionally, the IO handling the investigation in Noida has been ordered to be present in Court on the next date.
The IO from Police Station Harsh Vihar has been assigned to ensure that today’s order is communicated to the SSP, Gautam Buddha Nagar, for swift compliance and to file an updated Status Report.
The matter is scheduled to be heard by the Vacation Bench on June 27, 2025.
