HNLU, World Environment Day, Plantation Drive, Law Schools

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, celebrated World Environment Day 2025 on June 5 with a large-scale plantation drive led by its faculty and non-teaching staff. The initiative took place on the campus of HNLU and witnessed the planting of over 280 saplings, reflecting the university’s unwavering commitment to ecological responsibility and sustainable development.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU, who planted a Neem sapling at Heron, one of the Halls of Residence for Boys.
Species planted during the drive included Neem, Gulmohar, Kachnar, Amla & various fruit trees along with flowering shrubs that are suitable for the local ecosystem. The saplings were provided by the Forest Department, Govt. of Chhattisgarh.
