Mumbai cop assaulted by spouse, son; left bleeding to death
MUMBAI : A police constable’s spouse and son have been arrested on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting him throughout a home dispute and leaving him injured, main to his sluggish death. According to the police, the incident occurred on September 9, when Pravin Suryawanshi, 52, a constable connected to Shivaji Nagar police station, was discovered useless at police quarters in Pratiksha Nagar in Sion. Subsequently, an unintentional death report was registered and the police started an inquiry into the matter.

During the probe, Pravin’s brother and different family claimed that his death was not unintentional however the results of a long-standing monetary dispute along with his spouse, Smita Suryawanshi, 42, and son, Pratik, 22. The deceased constable’s autopsy reviews revealed that he had died an unnatural death due to haemorrhage and shock triggered by 38 accidents on his physique.
“Further investigation had revealed that on the day the constable died, his wife and son confronted him outside Shivaji Nagar police station and after they went home, they assaulted him,” stated a police officer.

The police stated that Pravin had transferred his properties in Nashik and Kalyan to his family and likewise gave his ATM card to his brother for his bills, which could have angered his spouse and son. “They attacked him and pushed him against the window panel, due to which the glass broke and caused multiple deep cuts,” the officer added.
Following this, they left the place with out giving him any medical help, he stated, including that hours later, a few of his family went to his dwelling and located him gravely injured. They rushed him to Sion Hospital, the place he was declared useless. The docs informed the police that Pravin had deep cuts on his proper hand and had died due to lack of blood, including that he may have survived if he had been introduced in for therapy in time. Subsequently, the police arrested Smita and Pratik on Wednesday.
