Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

Gaddopur, Phaphamaau, District Prayagraj. Pincode-211013, UTAR Pradesh, India.

Classroom

Decent classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements, air conditioning, and a digital board. An electronic podium is also part of it.

Rated: 4/5

Library

More than 10,000 books with e-resources like EBC Reader, SCC Online, JSTOR, etc. Facilities like computer systems and a printer are also available.

Rated: 4/5

Sports

All the required equipment is available but not maintained. There is no coach for any sport; they only give opportunities to students who already know the sport.

Rated: 2/5

Hostel Rooms

Enough space, air conditioners in rooms, well-maintained- basically a great home, but at quite a high price.

From what I can see, R.P.N.L.U.P. really wants its students to become top-notch legal professionals. They’re big on practical skills, which means a lot of focus on things like moot courts – those mock trials where you get to argue cases.

It’s not just about theoretical knowledge; they’re clearly trying to build lawyers who can actually do the job.

They’re also pretty forward-thinking with their curriculum, trying to blend different subjects to give you a really comprehensive understanding of the law. Plus, they’re looking outward, signing agreements with international universities and other top Indian law schools.

This means potential opportunities for things like exchange programs or joint research, which is a fantastic way to get a global perspective and expand your horizons.

Faculty

The faculty at R.P.N.L.U.P. boasts a diverse range of experience. While they have core professors, they also welcome visiting faculty, including retired judges and international legal experts. This combination of experienced faculty members provides students with invaluable insights and real-world knowledge, akin to learning from legal luminaries.

Attendance & Class Timings

Attendance is strict. Most law schools, especially NLUs, have a minimum attendance requirement set by the Bar Council of India. So, don’t expect to skip classes often!

As for class timings, they’re definitely structured. The academic calendar shows clear start and end dates for semesters and exams, so you can expect a regular, packed schedule during the weekdays. Think of it as a professional environment where your time is well-managed.

Every student is quite engaged. Since it’s a foundation batch, we all know each other well, and there’s a collaborative environment.

Rated: 5/5

Clubs, societies, and committees are working well. Since we are the foundation batch, there are a lot of new initiatives. However, compromises have been made by students, like there’s no big fest in college and no transparency in the selection of society members.

Rated: 3/5

As we are the foundation batch of the college, not sure about that yet.

They’re quite good. The best thing is the AC facilities are available. Housekeepers and cleaners are there. The food quality is quite nice.

As it is a temporary campus, rooms are limited. They don’t offer single occupancy—you’ll need to share with one person. Also, due to the room size, they don’t offer triple sharing in the boys’ hostel. Girls’ hostel has all options.

Rated: 4/5

Direct interaction with faculty, even with the Vice-Chancellor of the university. Also, every student knows each other by name. Imagine the whole university knows you by your name!

There are restrictions due to the temporary campus, like not being allowed to go outside the hostel after 8 PM. The library closes at night. There are not many options for doing things. Sometimes it feels very bad that the faculty knows too much about us, more than is necessary.
