Online gaming platform Winzo Games has moved the Delhi High Court against removal of its YouTube channel “WinZOOfficial” by Google LLC.

Vacation judge Justice Prathiba M Singh on June 20 issued notice on Winzo’s interim injunction plea seeking to restrain Google from blocking its access from YouTube platform.

The suit has been filed by WinZO Games Private Limited and its Director, Saumya Singh Rathore.

It is Winzo Games’ case that an email was received by them on June 16 sent by the Google Ads policy manager, informing that their YouTube channel was removed.

As per the suit, the basis of removal was that the YouTube channel in question was indulging in online gambling and betting.

Winzo submitted that the games which are offered by them on their YouTube Channel are not gambling or betting games but are games of skills and are therefore, not barred in law.

The Court issued notice on Winzo’s interim relief application, considering the impact it will have on the gaming platform’s business.

“Mr. Rohan Ahuja, Advocate from Inttl Advocare, who appears for Google LLC is requested to accept notice. Let him seek instructions from Google LLC in this matter,” the Court said while listing the matter before vacation bench on June 23.

However, on June 23, the matter was listed before the roster bench on July 03 at the request of both the parties.
